Discover the wonders that Ibiza has to offer. I have been visiting this island for 10 years and I return every time in wonder.
Just a 2-hour flight from France, Ibiza (or Eivissa) has a special flavor. It is truly my favorite of the Balearic Islands. Contrary to what "people" generally think, you do not have to be a party animal to have an excellent holiday there!

The bohemian roots of the 60s-70s
In the 1960s, Ibiza attracted an international hippie community in search of freedom, nature, and spirituality. The island, still undeveloped and very affordable, became a haven for artists, musicians, and nonconformists. The first improvised parties on the beaches or in the hills laid the foundations for a free, creative, and a bit crazy party culture.
The emergence of clubs in the 80s
The 1980s saw the opening of clubs that have become legendary: Amnesia, Pacha, Ku, then Privilege, and since May 2025, UNVRS, Space…
These venues innovated in terms of sound, set design, and opening hours (parties lasting until 10-11 am!)
Star DJs began to emerge, and Ibiza became a musical laboratory, particularly for house and techno.

The arrival of international tourism
With the development of mass tourism in Europe, Ibiza became a popular summer destination, especially for British, German, and Italian visitors.
Clubs adapted and moved upscale, attracting tourists in search of non-stop partying.
The consecration in the 90s-2000s
Ibiza became the temple of electronic music. The world's greatest DJs (Carl Cox, David Guetta, Paul Oakenfold, etc.) established their summer residencies there.
The island gained a global aura and attracted jet-setters, celebrities, and music lovers from all over the world!
But Ibiza is also a chill and relaxed vibe!
Okay, that's for sure, Ibiza is the world capital of partying, but note well that this is ABSOLUTELY not all!
The island is packed with surprisingly hilly nature, sumptuous peaceful beaches and coves, and typical villages with flat, white roofs that will amaze your eyes.

I have some crazy spots, shall we go?
The clubs: USHUAIA, UNVRS, HI IBIZA, O BEACH, AMNESIA
The bars: For sunsets from San Antonio: Café Mambo, Café del Mar, Kumharas. The sunset from Cala Benirras is well worth a look! The main avenue of Playa d'en Bossa is full of bars of all kinds, mainly aimed at heavy party-goers (quite a young and very wild crowd). I recommend wandering through the narrow streets of the fortress in Ibiza Town and walking down towards the port, it is splendid and you will be spoiled for choice for food and drink.
Typical villages: Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera, Sant Josep de sa Talaia, Ibiza Old Town, Sant Joan de Labritja.
Hotels: The VIBRA chain (entry-level). The Concept Hotels: 9 ultra-stylish establishments with different decorations that transport you into 70s movies. A must-see, even just to enjoy their pools for a drink!
Restaurants: S'Escalinata, Cevitxef Ibiza in Old Ibiza. Can Mimosa in Santa Gertrudis. Kumharas in San Antonio. Can Bernat Vinya in Sant Josep.
